7 HBIS Products Entering First Hebei Green Steel List

Department of Industry and Information Technology of Hebei Province has released its first list of Hebei Green Steel. Seven types products, out of three subsidiaries of HBIS Group entered this list, with HBIS extraordinary capabilities of resources, energy, environment, quality and low carbon production.

Of the products in the list, HBIS Shisteel bars were recognized as benchmark green and low carbon products. Tangsteel’s four hot-rolled steel products—including hot-rolled strip, continuous hot-dip galvanized strip, continuous hot-dip galvalume strip, and continuous hot-dip galvanized strip. HanSteel’s two continuous hot-dip galvanized and galvalume strips were all certified as green and low carbon products.

Green and low carbon has been one of the core strategies of HBIS development. HBIS attaches great importance to green and low carbon transformation and development. With the low carbon development road map, the group has adopted a comprehensive green and low carbon, including energy structure and production process. For Hydrogen steel production and arc oven steel technology, HBIS is investing in renewable electric power and hydrogen solution and developing CCUS technology and its applications. HBIS is producing full service cycle low carbon steel, promoting its green and low carbon brands.
